A New Year’s Toast from CheasKitchen
As the last recipes of the year leave the stove and the classroom lights dim for a short winter break, everyone at CheasKitchen would like to say a heartfelt thank you.
This year, our kitchen has hosted first-time cooks nervously picking up a chef’s knife, parents and teens learning side by side, couples planning date nights around risotto and desserts, and long-time home cooks finally conquering bread or fresh pasta. Every class has been a reminder that food is about people as much as it is about technique.
Looking Back with Gratitude
Some of our favorite moments from the year weren’t the perfect plates, but the small things:
- The quiet satisfaction on a student’s face when their sauce finally thickens and shines
- The sudden laughter when a flipped pancake lands almost back in the pan
- The shared silence when everyone takes a first bite and realizes, “I made this.”
Chef Michael Harvies and the CheasKitchen team are deeply grateful for the trust you’ve placed in us – for showing up with open minds, rolled-up sleeves, and a willingness to try something new.
Looking Ahead to a Delicious New Year
While the ovens cool for the holidays, planning for the next season is already underway. In the coming year, CheasKitchen will introduce:
- New course themes inspired by seasonal produce and global flavors
- More foundation classes for complete beginners who want a calm, supportive start
- Special event nights perfect for celebrations, team building, or unique gifts
Our goal remains the same: to make the kitchen feel like a place of confidence and creativity, not stress.
Warm Wishes from Our Kitchen to Yours
Wherever and however you celebrate, we wish you:
- Cozy meals that bring people together around the table
- Time to rest, reflect, and enjoy your favorite flavors
- A New Year filled with fresh ingredients, new recipes, and the courage to experiment
Thank you for being part of the CheasKitchen community in Chesapeake.
